The United Nations’ COP27 conference in Egypt, Nov. 6-18, is the latest major event in the global push for draconian steps to stop “man-made climate change.” COP stands for Conference for Parties, referring to the states that have signed the United Nations Convention on Climate Change. U.S. President Joe Biden and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will address the 40,000 attendees. Perhaps Putin will make the point that the wholesale destruction of the Ukraine is good for the climate. Man-made climate change is a modern myth which has been exposed by many scientists, but it is a perfect vehicle to increase the UN agenda toward a one-world government. The UN wants the power to force nations to comply with its demands: replacing reliable fossil fuel energy with unreliable, insufficient wind and solar, replacing the internal-combustion engine with electric, dramatically decreasing the use of fertilizer and the number of cattle, etc. (thus risking food shortages and famine), providing “loss and damage” funding to developing nations for harm allegedly caused by climate change (i.e., cyclones, floods), and paying billions of dollars annually to a Green Climate Fund. (Always follow the money trail.) Climate fervor is “earth worship.” It is the hysteria of those who do not believe in the almighty Creator God and His revelation to mankind. God’s Word tells us how the earth began and how it will end, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with climate change. Man did not make the earth, and man could not save the earth, even if it were dying. Man is dependent upon God, who alone has the power to sustain the universe.
